The Intrinsic Relationship Between Water and Life: A Dive into our Profound Connection (Part 2)

Water, a sacred and essential element, has impacted all living beings worldwide, highlighting our reliance on it. Despite being the source of life for all organisms, our familiarity often causes us to overlook its true significance and its potential healing properties. While water is a vital necessity that we heavily depend on, there has been limited exploration into its effects on us and vice versa. This idea may seem unconventional but is rooted in scientific evidence. Let us explore further the profound connection between water and life in 'The Intrinsic Relationship Between Water and Life: A Deep Dive into our Profound Connection'.

Our relationship with this special element starts with our conception and gestation period spent developing in amniotic fluid within the womb. This fluids main component is water, which provides cushioning for the baby and helps to maintain a steady temperature. Amniotic fluid also contains nutrients and aids in the development of the lungs and digestive system of the growing fetus. From the moment of conception, water plays a crucial role in our lives, supporting us in various ways until our final moments when we ultimately reunite with it.

Truly our relationship with water is intrinsic in nature and a vital element not only in the processes within our bodies that it aids, but within the make up of every one of our cells. If we ourselves are an extension of water, then wouldn't it make sense that the same things that influence water may influence us as well?

Around 2009, I came across the groundbreaking work of the globally acclaimed researcher and holistic doctor, Dr. Masaru Emoto and his team, who conducted pioneering research on water in the early 2000s. Their studies had a profound impact on the scientific community and reshaped the world's perception of water.

A heart drawn in the sand on a beach

During his research, Dr. Emoto discovered that water responded to various influences or energies (referred to as HADO) by adapting to the given stimuli. HADO, a Japanese term meaning 'wave motion or vibration', is thought to resemble Qi/Chi or life-force energy, possessing transformative and healing qualities. Dr. Emoto utilized the term HADO as a comprehensive reference to the energy or vibrations present in all living beings. This term has gained widespread acceptance globally as a way to describe life-force energy.

For a better understanding, let's delve into the methodology employed in these studies.

Dr. Emoto and his team conducted experiments where they captured images of frozen water crystals, observing that the structure of the crystals varied significantly based on the type of stimuli introduced to the water.

This water was given the label 'No Good' And this one, given the label 'Well done'

They noticed that positive stimuli resulted in the formation of intricate snowflake-like crystals, while negative stimuli prevented any crystal formation. To explore this further, they labeled water bottles with affirmations such as "Thank you" and negative phrases like "You fool," verbally reinforcing these labels and shaking the bottles. Subsequent crystal formation tests revealed a striking pattern: water that received positive reinforcement consistently produced beautiful crystals, whereas the negatively labeled water failed to form crystals and instead displayed disorganized, chaotic patterns.

Labelled You fool Labelled Thank you

This discovery led Dr. Emoto to the conclusion that water could absorb and reflect the energy or intentions it was exposed to, suggesting that it could be influenced by its environment and the stimuli it encountered.

These findings were revolutionary, as no studies similar to this one had ever been conceived or tested before. Dr. Emoto initially presented his discoveries in Japan, his country of origin. Upon discovering this research, many Japanese families tried to replicate the experiment using cooked rice instead of water. They would place one jar of cooked rice labeled 'Thank you' and another labeled 'You fool'.

Two jars of cooked rice, one black labelled with a sign saying "you fool". THe jar of rice to the right is labelled thank you and is much less decayed than jar 1
The above jars of cooked rice demonstrate the effects of negative versus positive reinforcements

Just like in the original experiment, the families would regularly reinforce the positive or negative stimuli. The outcome was that the rice with positive affirmations would start to ferment, while the negatively reinforced rice would decay and turn black. They then took the experiment a step further by introducing a third jar of rice that was left unlabeled and without any reinforcement, simply being completely ignored. Surprisingly, the rice in the third jar decayed immediately, much faster than the rice receiving negative reinforcement, suggesting the hypothesis that being acknowledged in a negative manner is better than being completely ignored. Being ignored appears to cause more harm than negativity. The results of this study suggest that if water and our food are impacted by such stimuli, then we are affected as well.

Further research was carried out on water worldwide, and scientific analysis has demonstrated that prayer and meditation can effectively cleanse contaminated rivers and bodies of water. Within his book titled 'The True Power of Water' Dr. Emoto notes that whilst visiting a Japanese Esoteric Buddhist temple, he became aware of a Chief Priest named Houki Kato, who would perform cleansing prayers and incantations at Fujiwara Dam. Dr. Emoto accompanied him on one of these occasions, taking samples of the water in the Dam both before and after the prayer. Below is a side by side comparison of water sampled from the Fujiwara Dam.

Before After

Considering this, it is clear that both intentions and words carry significant weight. The interactions we engage in on a daily basis have a profound impact on our physical well-being down to a cellular level. This is not merely a concept but a scientifically proven fact. Our manner of communication can either empower us, weaken us, or completely devastate us. It is crucial to bear in mind that the energy we emit is the energy we attract, so it is essential to be conscious of our thoughts and speech and to choose wisdom over ego.
