Please explore the mental health and crisis resource options available to you in your area. If you are in need of medical assistance please go to your local hospital emergency or Walk in clinic. If you are having an emergency call 911. As I am situated in Canada, all information has been sourced through the Canadian Mental Health Association webpage.

If you are in need of some support and a kind listening ear, there are resources listed here by location. If you are not Canadian, I invite you to look into the mental health resources available to you in your location. Feel free to add resources that I haven't listed.

Ontario:

  • Health811- Dial 811 (or 1-866-797-0007) on your phone to connect with a registered nurse, 24/7, for free, secure and confidential health advice.



  • Talk Suicide: 1-833-456-4566 or talksuicide.ca offers toll free support to Canadians who have concerns about suicide. Phone line available 24/7 or text 45645 between 4p.m. and midnight ET.


  • Issues with mental health, drugs, alcohol or gambling- www.connexontario.ca available 24/7

  • Assaulted Woman's Helpline, 24 hour telephone and TTY crisis line for all women in Ontario who have experienced any form of abuse:

  • #SAFE (#7233) on your Bell, Rogers, Fido or Telus Mobile.

  • Seniors Safety Line: 1-866-299-1011 Provided by Elder Abuse Ontario, the Seniors Safety Line provides contact and referral information for local agencies across the province that can assist in cases of elderly abuse.


  • Ontario Caregiver Helpline: 1-833-416-2273 or live chat https://ontariocaregiver.ca/ Provides caregivers with a one-stop resource for information and support.

  • https://bouncebackontario.ca/ guided self help program designed for people are 15 and up who are experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, stress or struggling mentally.


  • Kids Help phone 1-800-668-6868 or text 'CONNECT' to 686868


  • Good2Talk Helpline- 1-866-925-5454 or text 'GOOD2TALKON' to 686868. This is Ontario's 24/7 helpline for post secondary students.


  • LGBT Youthline Ontario: 647-694-4275+ https://www.youthline.ca/ chat, text and email. Peer support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirited, queer and questioning young people


Provincial-


  • Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)- Dial 988 toll free, anytime

  • National Indian Residential School Crisis Line: 1-866-925-4419- Offers support to former residential school students and those affected. Available 24/7


  • Talk4healing support for indigenous women: 1-855-554-4325
